生きている金属ロボ・ガンガーと、地球と宇宙双方の血を引く少年カンタローの活躍を描くＳＦ冒険アニメ。全宇宙に侵略の手を伸ばすブラスター星人が地球に接近する。だが地球には、かつてブラスター星人に滅ぼされた星カンサロスから持ち込まれた、生きている金属から生まれた鋼の巨人・ガンガーがいた。地球人の父とカンサロス星人の母を持つ少年カンタローはガンガーに合体。その超パワーで地球の平和を守る。『マジンガーＺ』に３ヵ月先がけて登場した、1970年代巨大ロボットアニメブームの始祖的作品。当時にしてはバラエティ感の豊富な番組内容で、人気を博した。。故事讲述一代刀王和枪王的故事。他们武功不相伯仲，于是各自收徒传授毕生武学，决定再比高低。而十五年后他们的手下败将卷土重来，武功突飞猛进，刀王、枪王俱毙命其大刀下。徒弟们为师复仇后，竟承继其师斗气本色，搞笑比试又一次开始了。。“What is a woman to do in the current dating climate?
