一个农民因幼时打针导致听力障碍，平时需戴助听器，能说简单的对话。善良淳朴的他因为一张神秘的明信片而向往外面世界，几次欲离开大山，却都因意外未果。反复六次之后，克服种种困难，历经多次磨难，终于来到城市，见到一直萦绕在梦里的那个图腾般的城市地标。两个初到社会谋职的青年，因处处碰壁，于是决定合作。他俩屡施妙计，骗财为生。他们先是打财务公司的主意，后来又在马场外开设了一个假的投注站，骗得了一笔巨款。但是靠这些坑蒙拐骗的小伎俩他们始终也不能致富，到头来依然是穷鬼一双。。Completely shocked, Lisa storms out of the hotel and catches the very next bus to the airport, still wearing her wedding dress.
