本片讲述了在七十年代，一对有情人共同救助了一直受伤的白鹭，却因误会而分割两地，女主角刘芳独身一人抚养两人的女儿长大，一次意外令刘芳而身亡。二十年后，男主角李强回到了厦门找寻爱人，却只等到了刘芳身亡的消息。失去爱人的李强，回到了厦门，与女儿刘念一起经营白鹭生态养殖基地，缅怀与爱人刘芳的感情……。A documentary potted history of WW2, the novelty here is that most of the film has been "colorized".
