电影讲述的是省委组织部选调生马兰志愿回到家乡工作。刚到家就遇到一件棘手的事：因修建高速公路要拆迁村民胡锡金家养鱼池的看鱼棚。身为村主任的二叔马在全在做拆迁工作时，被胡锡金的小儿子胡啸打伤。马兰认为马在全即使是依法强拆，也会伤害干群之间的感情。同时，她发现村里80多名无职党员的先锋、模范、带头作用观念淡薄，导致村“两委”的号召力不足。马兰借鉴武穴市武穴办事处“百名无职党员领百岗诺百责”的经验，把村里无职党员的作用都发挥起来，让村“两委”从繁琐的社会事务中解脱出来，一心一意谋发展。。Ivy and Bean are ecstatic to sign up for ballet class until they realize there will be no sword fighting, kicking or “dancing to the death” allowed in class. When Bean’s parents won’t let her quit, Ivy agrees to stick it out with Bean through the big dance festival performance.。
