《爱在零纬度》故事原型是根据中国投资的国华印尼南苏电厂中国员工与印尼姑娘的真实爱情故事改编而成。主人公陈昶与印尼姑娘诺娃相识相爱的恋情，跨越国别、文化、宗教的种种差异，最终修成正果。。“Praise be to the cinema: the law is not said, it is seen and heard. A story is born and given to us. This is how, through an image, life is resuscitated”. (Jean-Luc Godard, 1985)。
