More important than ...。森林深处住有一对以制作人偶为乐的老夫妇。一个暴风雨的夜晚，少女茱蒂与她的父亲、继母，及一群青少年来到老夫妇的居所，虽受到热情的款待，但在他们善良的笑容背后却藏有恐怖的事实，房子里的人偶接连攻击来访的人们…。一部演員搭配頗為特別的冤家喜劇。《變男變女變變變》的艾倫芭金扮演歌劇女高音瓊安，因為公寓遭人洗劫，洛杉磯當地又有女性殺手橫行，於是搬去與妹妹安蒂同住。不料安蒂正要動手術，還是留下瓊安在公寓獨居。她為了安全起見，聘請了公司派員保護，於是行事古怪的傑克．尼柯遜便帶著一條德國牧羊犬前來護花。兩人相處日久漸生情愫，不料新的意外又發生了。。
