At first feted and later rejected by bourgeois society, Baal roams through forests and along motorways, greedy for schnapps, cigarettes, women and men: ‘You have to let out the beast, let him out into the sunlig...。影片以贾宝玉大雪天里出家倒叙为始，主要故事情节以林黛玉回府奔丧开篇，揭秘了王熙凤贪没林如海家产盖建大观园，后又出卖了宝、黛两小无猜的爱情，设掉包计，致使宝玉迎娶宝钗，黛玉泪尽而亡，最终情散人悲、归于宿命，完成了红楼梦的悲剧结局。。
