本片以长崎作为本片的拍摄背景。透过四个孩子的眼睛，记录了麻麻获旅居美国七十年的兄长邀请前往夏威夷，以圆兄妹团聚的美梦。然而麻麻的亡夫多年前被原子弹炸死，这事令麻麻梗梗于怀，迟迟未答应前往相聚，藉著美日混血的侄儿到访，一场缠绕四十多年的仇恨，终于得到解结。全片清新怡人， 笑中有泪。。女主江芯是个孤儿，为给孤儿院院长治病借了高利贷， 被追债者逼得走投无路，无奈之下冒充了豪门陆家正在寻找的私生女。不料盲眼的“哥哥”陆时圳，竟是自己的旧相识。不明真相的陆时圳对江芯百般试探刁难，二人在斗智斗勇中逐渐爱上对方。。The film is based loosely around events in December 1995 that culminated in the murders of three drug dealers in Rettendon, Essex, UK. On 6th December Patrick Tate, Craig Rolfe and Tony Tucker, three drug dealers well known to the police, were lured to Workhouse Lane, Rettendon.
