After serving 35 years, it is no surprise that the world has changed dramatically. Still, Baran can't help but be shocked to discover that his home village is now underwater thanks to the construction of a new dam. He then heads for Istanbul to get revenge upon his former best friend, the man who snitched on him and stole his lover Keje. Along the way, Baran teams up with Cumali, a tough young punk who finds the thief's old-fashioned ways rather quaint. When Cumali gets into deep trouble with a crime boss, Baran adds another vengeful task to his roster.。故事发生在春秋末年，当时吴越大战，越王勾践（马德钟 饰）因不听范蠡（陈浩民 饰）谏言，结果越国大败，勾践被迫卧心尝胆三年。为色诱好色的吴王夫差（马景涛 饰），越国选美送往敌国，相国告诉勾践唯西施（邬倩倩 饰）方能胜任，但与西施倾心的范蠡怎甘心将心爱之人送予吴王，但为了光复越国，深明大义的西施踏上了去往敌国的路途。伍子胥（李国华 饰）知其有诈，劝夫差不要留下越国送来的美女，但好色的夫差岂能放走送到嘴边的珍馐。为取悦吴王，西施与另一越国美女郑旦（赵志瑶 饰）日夜周旋于敌国的君王身边，而雄才大略的范蠡则在痛苦中忍受煎熬……。
