本剧集分为《连城》、《侠女》、《辛十四娘》、《宦娘》四个篇章组成，通过几位奇女子富有传奇色彩的命运，讲述了四段凄美动人的奇幻故事。《连城》讲述书香世家之后连城（范文芳饰）与穷书生乔生（吴奇隆饰）之间的凄美爱情故事；《侠女》讲述侠女（林家宇饰）与顾相如（陈晓东饰）间的爱恨情仇；《辛十四娘》则讲述了一段狐仙辛十四娘（刘诗诗饰）与凡人冯生（TAE饰）间感天动地的人狐之恋；《宦娘》讲述千金小姐赵宦娘（孙莉饰）与当红小生温如春（潘粤明饰）因父母不同意而决定双双殉情的悲情故事。 38集古装爱情电视剧《聊斋奇女子》取材于古典名著《聊斋志异》，由吴奇隆、范文芳、瞿颖、潘粤明、孙莉、陈晓东、刘诗诗、TAE、李倩等倾情演绎。。Robert Karow ermittelt nach dem Tod seiner Kollegin Nina Rubin in diesem Fall solo: Ein Mann in Karows Alter wird in einem Waldstück tot aufgefunden.
